We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Test Engineer with a strong background in embedded systems testing, software validation, and test automation. This role is ideal for engineers who thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about ensuring high-quality software delivery for cutting-edge platforms.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain software test drivers and test automation frameworks.
Design and execute test plans for embedded platforms, RTOS environments, and Linux-based systems.
Work closely with development teams to validate functionality across Kernel and User space.
Perform rigorous debugging and root cause analysis using system logs, tools, and trace data.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including firmware, hardware, and software engineers to ensure seamless integration and validation.
Manage and track defects, coverage, and test cycles using Agile tools.
Technical Skills & Requirements: Proficiency in C and Python programming for test development.
Good understanding of serial communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, I3C.
Strong working knowledge of RTOS .concepts, including:
Mutexes, Spinlocks, Queues, Signals, Deferred Function Calls, Callbacks.
Multithreading, Multi-process environments, and concurrency handling.
Experience with Linux Kernel & User Space programming.
Solid understanding of ARM architecture, software quality principles, and OS-level programming.
Familiarity with Qualcomm's infrastructure tools such as GLink, QDSS, Diag is a plus.
Skilled in interpreting and troubleshooting complex debug logs.
Tools & Methodologies: Experience with version control and collaboration tools: Git, Perforce, Code Collaborator.
Hands-on with Agile tools: JIRA, Orbit or similar.
Exposure to hardware simulators/emulators and pre-silicon validation is a strong plus.
Soft Skills & Work Traits: Strong analytical and debugging skills with a structured approach to problem-solving.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver on deadlines.
Passion for new technologies and team-oriented collaboration.
